Having a background in childcare, I was inspired to begin coaching when I recognised how children develop. They are care free, take risks, fall and get straight back up and are not afraid to fail. This is essential to their growth.
As we grow older and take a few knocks to our confidence we become fearful of taking risks, fearful of failing and suddenly we are taking on the views of the whole world.
As I began working with women in my family I noticed they had similarities. They had so much potential and great business ideas but they were scared, full of self-doubts, self-limiting beliefs and they feared being judged.
It is evident, as we grow older, we stop taking risks, become filled with self-doubt and the thought of failure stops us from getting started.
However, the biggest risk we can take is never taking a risk at all.
I got to a point where I became unhappy with where I was in my life. I felt like I was in a cycle in my career going from different jobs, looking for fulfilment only to be me at a dead end. I had enough of not being recognised and not earning the money I deserved.
I knew it was time for me to start my own business but, I too, was then faced with fear and self-limiting beliefs.
